Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace.

The Whites head to South London, sitting level on points with Roy Hodgson’s side in the Premier League table after seven games.

Meslier is aiming to help the Whites bounce back from defeat against Leicester City at Elland Road last time out, by securing three points at Selhurst Park.

“It’s true, Monday was not a good performance for the team,” said Meslier.

“4-1 is difficult and for me, I hate to lose, but this is football.

“Now we are focused on the next game against Crystal Palace and I hope that we can win, because it is important to do so before the international break.

“I saw Crystal Palace in their last game against Wolverhampton Wanderers and they are a good team and have good players like Wilfried Zaha, Jordan Ayew and Michy Batshuayi.

“I think we will have a lot of possession, but they are very dangerous on the counter-attack, so we will need to be careful and try to score first to control the game.

“I believe in my team and I think we are ready for Saturday.”
