Leeds United return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon as they face Crystal Palace, looking to replicate the reverse fixture that saw the Whites run out 4-1 victors at Elland Road.
Involved in the squad that day was midfielder Ilia Gruev, who played a part in the fourth goal, and he believes the meeting with the Eagles comes at a good time for the side after the weekend’s Emirates FA Cup win.
“We know our strengths, we know we are in a good position at the moment,” the Bulgarian said previewing the weekend’s trip to the capital.
“But of course also we know that we will have to get some more points to stay in the league and we go there with confidence.
“We had really good last months and of course the Sunderland result was not the best but you have to keep going. We will continue and go there with confidence and we want to win this game there.
“You can’t feel that anything changed in terms of the spirit. The attitude is there. We also enjoy to work together and we keep going.
“I think we did it already over 29 game days and we continue to do this because it is really important for us to have this spirit and this group togetherness.”
