The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Huddersfield Town have been confirmed, with Andrew Kitchen set to take charge at the John Smith's Stadium.
Handed his EFL debut in the 2021/22 season, the Durham-born referee is yet to officiate the Whites' first team. He has, however, taken charge of three academy matches, with United winning all three.
A 3-2 victory away at Oldham Athletic came in the 2021/22 EFL Trophy, the season after home wins against Burnley and Norwich City in the Premier League 2.
Kitchen has officiated 26 games this season, with 17 of those matches coming in the Sky Bet Championship. Other appearances have come in League One, League Two, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
In those matches, he has shown 77 yellow cards, one red card and pointed to the spot on six occasions.
Last time out, Kitchen was on League One duties at Oakwell as Barnsley beat Derby County 2-1 in the promotion run in.
It will be a maiden outing in the middle of a Huddersfield Town match too, with Kitchen likewise yet to take charge of a fixture involving the Terriers.
