On Saturday, charity neighbouring Elland Road Holbeck Together was celebrated as Leeds United defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 in the Premier League.

Holbeck is one of the most deprived areas in the city and in the UK, where harsh conditions contribute to a life expectancy 12 years lower than the rest of Leeds. Facing those challenges, Holbeck Together provides vital support and opportunities for those who are struggling.

From organising trips, to creating memorable experiences for older, isolated residents and local families, the charity opens doors that financial barriers too often keep closed.

On Saturday, the charity held bucket collections outside of turnstiles and at the club shop, raising essential funds to contribute to the services provided. Supporters could also notice a table set up in the East Stand concourse, where volunteers were on hand to discuss the organisation's involvement with the local community.

Holbeck Together's Chief Officer Elissa Newman delivered talks in the Centenary Pavilion, Hisense Leeds Lounge and Norman Hunter Suite, providing an in-depth look into how the charity operates and the services they have on offer for the disadvantaged families in the local area.

After the final whistle, the charity were kindly donated a match worn shirt from the first team squad, Pascal Struijk handing over his shirt to assist in raising valuable funds for Holbeck Together. The shirt has been signed on the back by the Leeds centre-half, and was worn during the 3-0 win.

This shirt is available for auction on eBay, with all proceeds going to Holbeck Together. The bidding will close on Monday 27th April at 3.25pm, and to find out more, please click here.
