Leeds United midfielder Glen Kamara put in an "absolutely phenomenal" performance on Friday night, as fans voted him their Boost Player of the Match against Leicester City.

Ahead of the trip to the King Power Stadium, Daniel Farke said his side would not "travel in fear" to a side that had lost once previously in their first 14 games.

Leeds put the Foxes under pressure straight from the whistle and throughout the game, before Georginio broke the deadlock in the 58th minute to give Leeds a 1-0 lead.

Leicester tried their hardest to get back into the game, but were restricted by a resolute defence, their only shot on target coming in the 95th minute, when Illan Meslier clawed the ball away from a near certain goal which was flying into the top left corner.

Playing a different style of game to that against Huddersfield previously, Leeds only had 34% of possession on Friday night, but made sure that they were efficient when on the ball.

Whilst in possession, Kamara racked up the most touches (64), successful passes (47), ball carries (48) and created two chances for the Whites. The midfielder also made the second-most ball recoveries (8) and won 7 duels (joint-second).

This impressive performance saw Kamara win the Player of the Match award with 63% of the vote. He was followed by three players on 8%, goalscorer Georginio, Joe Rodon who put in an equally impressive defensive display and Illan Meslier who pulled off an amazing save in the dying minutes.
