Leeds United forward Georginio was picked out by pundits and fans alike for his performance on Saturday, as his goal and assist helped the Whites seal a 2-0 win over Plymouth.

Selected by Sky Sports as their Player of the Match, 33% of Leeds fans then voted him as their standout player against the Pilgrims, before the EFL named him in the Championship Team of the Week.

Leeds and Plymouth had to endure tough conditions as the rain poured down in the West Country, but Daniel Farke's side would only have to wait 10 minutes to break the deadlock.

Under pressure from Plymouth's defenders, Georginio launched a hopeful-turned-brilliant ball forward, into the path of Gnonto who showed his class in bringing it down, sending the defender in the wrong direction, before slotting it home.

From provider to goalscorer, with Plymouth fighting to get back in the game, Georginio scored a second to all but kill off the game.

Archie Gray won the challenge in Leeds' half, slid it to Joel Piroe, a pinpoint pass found Georginio, who fired it through the legs of two Plymouth players and into the back of the net.

Leeds fans voted in their numbers for the club's Player of the Match award, Georginio winning with 33%. He was followed by his fellow goalscorer Willy Gnonto, who garnered 24%, with Ethan Ampadu (13%) and Glen Kamara (7%) in third and fourth place respectively.
