Leeds United defender Gabriel Gudmundsson has been named in Sweden's 2026 FIFA World Cup squad, becoming one of 11 players selected from British-based clubs.
Gudmundsson, 27, has earned 23 caps for his country and featured in every match during Sweden’s qualifying campaign.
The left-back has enjoyed a strong debut season at Leeds United, making 35 appearances following his move from Lille OSC in July 2025.
Sweden have been drawn in Group F and will begin their campaign against Tunisia in Monterrey on 14 June (03:00 BST, 15 June).
They then travel to the United States for their remaining group fixtures, facing the Netherlands in Houston on 20 June, before taking on Japan in Dallas five days later (00:00 BST, 26 June).
