A fundraising cycle for Stacey Daniels will take place on Thursday with a number of familiar faces taking on a 127-mile challenge from Anfield to Elland Road.
Leeds United have helped to organise the special fundraising event, with the aim of raising enough funds for Stacey to receive life-changing treatment for her Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) diagnosis in Mexico. More information on the former Leeds United Women’s player can be found here.
Sue Smith, the former English international footballer, will be taking on the gruelling challenge along with Leandra Little, a number of other ex-teammates, and friends of Daniels.
The former teammates learnt about Stacey and her diagnosis through their old manager Mark Hodgson, and together they all wanted to show their support by making personal donations, sharing the fundraising page online and they all decided they wanted to go that extra step to help.
Due to Stacey supporting Liverpool and previously playing for Leeds United, they decided on a challenge that included the two and this week they will take on their cycle challenge. The club will also be supporting through an online auction that will take place in the near future.
