Leeds have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.

Whites narrowly beaten in Bournemouth:

Tarik Muharemović (£5.1m) and captain Ethan Ampadu (£5.3m) finished Gameweek 9 as Leeds’ top scorers for the fixture in FPL. Each claimed three points as they both played the full 90 against Bournemouth and returned with Defensive Contributions points after making 12 and 16 defensive actions respectively.

In FPL, outfield players can earn two extra points if they hit the threshold for defensive actions for their respective positions in a single game. For defenders, defensive actions are defined as clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles won. For midfielders and forwards, they also allow ball recoveries.

Featured in last week’s spotlight, Muharemović has now earned Defensive Contribution points in two thirds of his games, seeing the Bosnian gain an extra 12 points over the course of the campaign to date. Only one defender in the game has returned more Defensive Contribution points than Tarik. Elsewhere, his defensive colleague Nico Elvedi (£4.5m) also hit the threshold with his 10 defensive actions in the match.

Player Spotlight: Ethan Ampadu

Ampadu’s consistency in FPL last season made him an excellent differential pick. He started 35 games, which was the most of any Leeds player. The skipper also racked up a total of 134 points, which was bettered only by Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£6.1m) and Anton Stach (£6.0m) within the Whites’ squad. Making up his haul, the Welshman scored one goal, assisted four, earned eight clean sheets and received 11 bonus points. He completed the most defensive actions (416) across the entirety of the Leeds squad, hitting the threshold for Defensive Contribution points in 54.3 per cent of matches.

The same dependability is also showing this time around. Ampadu has played every minute of league action, registering an assist and contributing to three clean sheets over that time, while he again leads his side for total defensive actions made. Our captain has created nine chances for his colleagues over the opening nine matches and attempted three shots at goal.

Best of the rest:

Hull City’s Oliver McBurnie (£5.5m) scored a goal, got an assist and gained three bonus points in the Tigers’ match with Ipswich Town, earning 12 points. Owned by just 1.7 per cent of FPL teams, he may be a tempting option for those hunting for a differential pick. Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen (£4.6m) returned 11 points, earning a clean sheet and three bonus points for his performance against Manchester City.
