The Leeds United Foundation will host their next Coaches Club event in March that will help to support sports coaches based both at the charity and throughout the local community.
The main aim for the Coaches Club initiative is to provide education around coaching that align to the core sets of values at the club and Foundation, whilst also creating opportunities for coaches within the community to get involved in the ever-expanding workload within the club’s official charity.
This next workshop will be held on Thursday 31st March at Elland Road, and there will be a focus around the Premier League Kicks (PL Kicks) programme, with a special host guest in the form of Richard Foye who heads up the PL Kicks initiative for the club’s official charity.
During this session the following areas will be discussed with those in attendance:
- How to increase playing, coaching, and officiating opportunities in football and a range of sports (8-18yrs)
- How to use the power of football to help youngsters in high-need areas to reduce ASB and improve community safety
- Engagement in education and personal development activities to enhance physical and mental wellbeing, self-esteem, ambition, and social skills
- How to work on inspiring young people to develop positive, supportive relationships with one another and the authorities
- Promoting integration and championing Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
The event on Thursday 31st March will be held in the Eddie Gray suite at Elland Road, with a 6pm arrival time and 6.15pm start time.
There will then be two practical Kicks sessions hosted as part of the Coaches Club, on Wednesday 6th April and Wednesday 13th April.
