This November, we are proud to once again join football clubs across the country to show our support for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
To demonstrate our commitment to the charity, we have chosen to again include the emblem of a poppy in the design of the shirts issued for tomorrow's against Plymouth Argyle.
This will be the second game that Leeds have worn the poppy shirts, after the 1-0 win over Leicester at the King Power Stadium, with fans able to bid for the shirts online now.
A selection of these poppy-adorned shirts will be made available to fans through exclusive digital auctions at MatchWornShirt.com/poppy, with the proceeds raised being donated to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. Adding to the value of these shirts, each one will be individually signed by the respective player who wore it, making it a unique piece of sporting history. Keep an eye online over the next few weeks to see which shirts are available to bid on.
MatchWornShirt’s 2022 Poppy Appeal campaign was a spectacular success, raising more than £900,000 for the Royal British Legion.

The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal takes place from Thursday 26th October until Remembrance Sunday on 12th November. Every year the RBL leads the nation in Remembrance across the UK to honour the contribution of our Armed Forces community, past and present.
Since it was first worn as an act of Remembrance just over 100 years ago, the red poppy has become an enduring symbol of support for our Armed Forces. Remembrance unites people of all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds.
This year, the iconic poppy has been given a make-over and is now completely plastic-free and easily recycled. The new poppy, which has been revamped for the first time in 28 years, is made entirely from paper, no longer has a single-use plastic stem or centre and can be recycled through ordinary household recycling collections.
Every donation to the RBL’s Poppy Appeal helps to provide vital support to the Armed Forces community and ensure their unique contribution is never forgotten.
To help the Royal British Legion continue its vital work, you can head to MatchWornShirt’s website and get involved in one of the many auctions for this year’s Poppy Appeal: MatchWornShirt.com/poppy,
