With next week's international break fast approaching, five Leeds United players have been selected for England's Young Lion squads on Friday morning.

Charlie Cresswell has been named in Lee Carsley's England U21s squad, after the defender his Premier League debut against West Ham last week.

The U21s kick-off their first match on Thursday against Slovenia at Stadion Celje (7.15pm BST) before travelling to the Estadi Nacional in Andorra on Monday 11 October, which gets underway at 7pm BST.

Andy Edwards also announced his England U20s squad on Friday, with Cody Drameh, Lewis Bate, Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood all included.

Gelhardt scored twice for the Young Lions in last month's 6-1 win over Romania, and will be hoping to carry that momentum into England's fixtures against Italy and Czech Republic.

Their first game against Italy is being staged at Chesterfield’s Technique Stadium on Thursday 7 October (7pm kick-off), before they head over to face the Czechs in Teplice on Monday 11 October (4pm kick-off).
