FAYC Preview: Brighton & Hove Albion vs Leeds United

Leeds United Under-18s face Brighton & Hove Albion Under-18s away from home on Saturday afternoon, in the FA Youth Cup.

The Whites take on the Seagulls in this Fourth Round clash, in a match that will be played at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, getting underway at 3pm.

In the Third Round of the competition, Rob Etherington’s side were also away from home, taking on Norwich City at Carrow Road.

An early goal from Marley Wilson put Leeds in control in East Anglia, before captain Dan Toulson secured a safe passage through to the next round, with a second-half finish at the back post.

Brighton also made it into the Fourth Round with a comfortable win on the road. They travelled north to face Harrogate Town, coming back with a comprehensive 4-1 victory.

The goals were scored by Joe Knight, Harry Mills, Ronnie Gorman and Remiero Moulton at The EnviroVent Stadium.

In the league, Inigo Calderon’s side are ninth in the Under-18s Premier League South table. They’ve won three, drawn three and lost five from their 11 matches.

In the Northern section of the league standings, Leeds are in sixth spot, with a record of five wins, two draws and six defeats up to now.
