Leeds United kicked off their summer business with the exciting signing of Wales international Harry Wilson following a stellar campaign with fellow Premier League side Fulham.
The vastly experienced attacking midfielder has penned a four-year deal at Elland Road, adding quality and versatility to the Whites’ attacking options.
Below are eight facts and figures about our latest recruit...
Wilson arrives in West Yorkshire after a spectacular season in the capital with his former club. In all competitions the forward grabbed 11 goals and eight assists, crowning him Fulham’s Player of the Year!
Hugely experienced at the top level, Harry has made over 150 appearances in the Premier League since his first outing for AFC Bournemouth in the top-flight. Capable of the spectacular, Wilson has grabbed 29 goals in that time, including the Premier League Goal of the Month for November 2024 and December 2025.
The strike from last term also won the BBC’s Goal of the Season award. Reacting quickly to a pass fizzed into him, the Wales international inventively back heeled the ball to a teammate, raced onto the return and instinctively curled a sublime effort with the outside of his foot into the far corner!
Aged just 16 years and 207 days, Wilson became Wales’ youngest ever international, surpassing a record set by Gareth Bale. Having not even represented the country’s Under-21s side at the time, he debuted for the senior team in a 1-1 draw against Belgium away from home in a World Cup qualifier.
Wilson’s 21st birthday was one to remember, earning a first start for Wales in a clash against China where he would score a maiden international goal in a thumping 6-0 win. He has gone on to add 16 more to his tally for Cymru, three of which came in an emphatic 7-1 victory over North Macedonia last year.
He has played alongside new teammate Daniel James 63 times throughout his career. The majority of those have come representing the Dragons, as well as 11 encounters when James spent a season on loan at Craven Cottage. The midfielder has also shared the pitch with compatriots Joe Rodon (53 times), Ethan Ampadu (44), Karl Darlow (11) and once with Charlie Crew. In club football, he featured alongside Jayden Bogle at Derby County on 45 occasions.
The 29-year-old is no stranger to his new side, having featured eight times against the Whites throughout his career and scoring twice. Back in 2023, Wilson crashed a thunderous effort in off the underside of the crossbar as Fulham edged past United 2-1 in the capital.
Wilson’s professional debut came whilst still a teenager on loan at League One outfit Crewe Alexandra. His next temporary switch proved to be a fruitful one, scoring seven times and grabbing four assists in just 14 appearances for Hull City. The midfielder also enjoyed a season with Cardiff City earlier in his career.
