Ethan Ampadu: We are going to keep going

Captain speaks post match.

Ampadu IV Bournemouth

Leeds United battled for a point away at AFC Bournemouth, as Sean Longstaff’s late goal extended the Whites’ unbeaten run to seven in all competitions.

After the match, captain Ethan Ampadu spoke to BBC Radio Leeds to share his thoughts on the game.

“It is a requirement for playing in a Leeds United shirt that you never give up, and you go to the end.” the midfielder began. “One thing is that will always push each other, and we will give everything to the end."

On Longstaff’s strike, the Welsh international said, “He loves a volley! It is a great strike, and we know Sean is an unbelievable player because he has shown that throughout his career.”

Looking ahead towards the remainder of the campaign, the skipper added: “We are going to keep going. This season I think you do not know what it is going to take to stay up, so you have to keep going no matter what.

“We are going to rest and recover properly and prepare well, because we know it is going to be a very difficult game. I think both teams are going to do everything they can to get into the final, and we have to go and put on a display and do our best."
