Leeds United Women are pleased to announce the signing of Drew Greene, who joins the club from Halifax Women.
Greene made 18 appearances in last season’s Northern Premier League, helping Halifax to finish sixth in the division’s standings.
A versatile option, the 28-year-old has featured as a full-back and winger on either flank, as well as being tasked with leading the line as a striker.
The 2021/22 campaign proved to a fruitful one for the Barnsley-born player, who was crowned FA Women’s National League Player of the Year after a strong season with Brighouse Town.
Drew becomes the club’s second summer signing, joining the Whites alongside former Halifax teammate Shauna Legge.
Everyone at Leeds United would like to welcome Drew to the club and we look forward to seeing her in action at the Bannister Prentice Stadium.
