Leeds United will play a first home game of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign on Sunday, welcoming Brentford to Elland Road in what will be a hard-fought encounter.

Both teams have started the new campaign in fine form, with the Whites winning back-to-back matches away from home against Nottingham Forest. The Bees have also started just as well, picking up a win in the league and cup apiece.

Speaking ahead of the match was our number 9 Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who took time to preview the game.

“We’ve had a really good start, it's the start that we hoped for,” Calvert-Lewin began, reflecting on our first two outings of the season.

“I think we knew it was going to be a very, very tough test against them [Forest], especially going there back-to-back. We did well to come through, and it's a good start.

“They've [Brentford] had a really good start, and they're a very well-drilled team.

“And I think they know what they are, and you can see that in the way that they perform, very high intensity in the way that they cover the pitch.

“We're well aware of the test that's going to be in front of us. I would say in terms of, I think, physical output, Brentford are around about where we were last season.

“So we know it's going to be a very intense game from that respect. But also, we know our strengths at Elland Road.”
