Leeds United defender Diego Llorente has spoken to the media ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Southampton.
The Whites are looking for back-to-back wins in the top-flight, against the Saints, who the Whites did the double over last season.
Llorete began by reflecting on the previous game against Watford, in which his goal secured the Whites a one-nil victory.
“I think we deserved the first win,” said Llorente.
“In other games we were unlucky, for example against Newcastle United and West Ham, where the team did a great job, but the result was not as expected.
“Against Watford we deserved the win and I think we could have won by more than one goal, as we had a lot of opportunities.
“The important thing is the three points, so it was a good game and we have to keep going now.”
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton side are yet to win in the Premier League this season, but Llorente is expecting a far from easy game on the South Coast.
He said: “Southampton are a team with very good players.
“We will try and keep our style of play, but this team has good strikers and a good coach.
“We know it will be a difficult game, but we will try to get the three points.
“I remember the game well from last season, it was one of the first games back with fans.
“It’s a difficult stadium to play at, but hopefully it will be a good match for us.”
