Derby County: Match officials appointed

The match officials for Leeds United’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round clash with Derby County on Sunday have been announced, with Anthony Taylor set to take charge at Pride Park.

The Select Group official is in his 17th season in the Premier League. In that time, the 47-year-old has overseen 418 top-flight matches and 59 FA Cup matches, beginning with a 2006 game between Nottingham Forest and now-defunct Yeading FC.

The official has also refereed two FA Cup finals and five semi-finals. Incidentally, the two finals featured Arsenal and Chelsea with the Gunners twice victorious, winning 2-1 on both occasions.

In their 24 matches officiated by Taylor, the Whites have won nine and drawn six. This season, the Cheshire-native has overseen Leeds’ 3-1 win over Wolves and the 3-3 draw with Liverpool.

The home side, meanwhile, have four wins and two losses in their six matches refereed by Taylor. In his last FA Cup match featuring Derby, the Rams were victorious against Southampton on penalties in 2019.
