Leeds United Women have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Darcie Greene from Halifax Women.
The versatile forward followed sister Drew and former teammates Shauna Legge and Ellie White in joining from the Calderdale outfit.
After featuring in the weekend’s clash against Middlesbrough, the 28-year-old was delighted to have made her debut, despite the Whites falling to defeat late on.
“I enjoyed it,” she said. “It wasn’t the result we wanted but I feel like we have to learn from it and go into training so we can hopefully perform better next time round.
“I was really keen to make the move. Drew has been pestering me to be honest so I am happy to be here!
“It has made it a lot more comfortable playing and performing because I know a lot of the girls already.
“I enjoyed being back with them all and now I am very excited to get going.
“I came on quite quickly and I wasn’t expecting to come on that early, but it was good to get minutes in.
“Hopefully I can help contribute to the team.”
