Leeds United return to Elland Road to face Crystal Palace on Saturday night, looking to continue the momentum from a strong two weeks.
Following an exhilarating 3-1 win over Chelsea and a well-earned draw with reigning champions Liverpool, the Whites went to the capital and earned another hard-fought point, this time against a challenging Brentford side.
Speaking ahead of the 8pm kick-off, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts on coming up against Oliver Glasner’s side.
"Definitely, you can't really compare the positions, so depends of course a little bit on the position you play. The wing-backs it's a bit more cover distance than perhaps a fullback who has also a winger in front of him," the Boss said on the change of formation and workload.
"Not always just from the total distance, but also like from the numbers of sprints or high intensity and this also what we're looking at.
"If a player is perhaps right now overperforming over this average, and this is something you have to keep in mind.
"I would say over the last couple of years many small injuries and right now it was crucial also to take care of him, that he stays fit, that he can train regularly,” Farke added on Dominic Calvert-Lewin's recent form.
“Of course you need a few weeks or so to find the belief in your body back and also the confidence in your game and then to be in a good rhythm and this is more or less what has happened since he walked through the door."
On Saturday’s managerial counterpart: “He's doing a fantastic job, not just with Crystal Palace, even before in the Bundesliga. Quality is always defined by performance over a long-term period and this is what Oliver is delivering right now. Incredible job at Crystal Palace and yeah, fantastic manager."
