Leeds United will begin 2024 against Birmingham City at Elland Road, looking to keep their strong home record going.

The Whites ended 2023 with a disappointing defeat last time out, and will now be looking to respond and return to winning ways against the Blues.

Speaking ahead of the match, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts on the game.

He said: “It’s about concentrating.

“You want to deliver a good performance in the home game, and win your momentum back. That’s what we want.

“They [Birmingham] had a really good start and have quality, and showed they have experience on this level.

"Those players can change momentum in this league pretty quickly, so we need to be aware that we can win this back, and not that they can win their momentum back.

"For them it’s also a difficult away game. I expect a side who fights. They know a good result at Elland Road is a massive boost for them.

“We have to expect a team who are in a difficult spell, to be a team highly motivated to win the points, and we have to be ready.

"You always need to be spot on in order to win the points against Birmingham.”
