Leeds United are back in Premier League action on Saturday as they return to Birmingham to face Aston Villa. The home side are in fine form and sit third in the table but boss Daniel Farke says his team go into every encounter full of confidence.

In their last Premier League match, the Whites stormed back from two goals down to earn a vital point against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Previously, United were victorious over Nottingham Forest at Elland Road thanks to goals from Jayden Bogle, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Ahead of the trip to the West Midlands, boss Farke spoke to the media at Thorp Arch and explained the challenges in store for his side at Villa Park.

“Villa are sitting position three in the title race, so it will be a tough game,” the manager said. “They have fantastic results, are one of the best teams in this league. Unai Emery has developed them into a European force.

“But on this level you always have tough games. We are used to playing against big teams and lots of individual quality.

“It is important to make sure they do not shine too much on offence because they have lots of individual quality, top players, play really good processes.

“We have to make sure that we show our best performance and need a bit of luck. We have to be pretty effective in using our chances, brutal and relentless.

“We always have self-belief. We have proven that we have a good group, outstanding fitness level and mentality. It has brought us to 30 points from 26 games.

“We are on a good path but I am a realistic person. There is no reason to be carried away. We have to win many more points and for that we will stay with a foot on the gas.
