Leeds United face top-of-the-table Leicester City on Friday evening at Elland Road, in a highly anticipated encounter.
The Whites are second in the standings and will be looking to keep up their fine form in 2024, having won eight league games on the bounce.
Speaking ahead of Friday’s match, the Boss gave his thoughts to the media at Thorp Arch.
He said: “This is another chance for us to win the next points and to improve our position.
“We have a home game and we know we face probably the toughest opponent at the moment in this league.
“But, so do Leicester, so they also know that we are a really good side.
"It is obviously a very interesting game for the outside world, for the pundits and for the media, also for our supporters of course.
“But for us, it's more or less like another chance to get the next point under our belt in order to improve our situation further on, so yes, we want to use this momentum.
“This is definitely the best possible opponent that we can face at Elland Road because they are sitting at the top of the table.
“We want to challenge ourselves against such a really good side.
“We want to show that we are capable to play on the same level or even better, and in order to win the points, obviously that's also a challenge.”
