Daniel Farke: We have to be back at our best

Boss looks ahead to facing Millwall.

FARKE TRAINING NIGHT

Leeds United face Millwall at Elland Road on Wednesday evening (19:45), aiming to return to winning ways in the Sky Bet Championship, under the lights in West Yorkshire.

Beginning with team news after playing Portsmouth just a couple of days ago, Daniel Farke gave an update on the fitness of his squad.

“I'm also not too concerned about this quick turnaround anyhow, because we will have at least more or less three proper nights in between,” the boss stated, ahead of playing the midweek fixture.

“There were one or two knocks and a few bruises [against Portsmouth], but nothing I'm majorly concerned about.

“So I hope to have at least the same amount of players and the same players available like I had for the last game. It seems to be everything should be prepared and it will be more or less the same squad, yes.”

Onto the game itself, the Whites have already faced Millwall twice this season and the boss expects another tough test against Alex Neil’s side this time around.

“I spoke quite highly about him,” Farke said, on facing his opposite number.

“I know he's a very, very experienced manager and knows the Championship inside out. So his handwriting is always obvious, obvious to see his signs.

“So it's difficult to beat them and they always show resilience and they go for it. They're brave also, especially also in away games when they can use a bit more like the position against the ball and then to develop their game out of these situations.

“A dangerous side, especially also in away games, have a really, really decent away record and they've proved this more or less also in the last away game.

“So we have to be back at our best, need to create at least as many chances as we did away at Portsmouth, just need to find our goalscoring boots in this game.”
