Leeds United face Bristol City away from home on Friday night, in a Sky Bet Championship clash under the lights of Ashton Gate.

The Whites head into the game having had a strong start to 2024, having won five and drawn once in all competitions throughout January.

Speaking ahead of facing the Robins, Daniel Farke was asked about what three points would mean for his side, if they were to win the game.

He said: "It will be the first time that we would be inside the top two in the whole season.

“It would be a nice little recognition but to be honest, we are not too addicted to thinking about the table right now, especially when other teams have games in hand.

“It's more a big chance in a difficult away game to keep our winning run going and to keep our momentum going, and to show what we are capable of.

“It's also the next chance to return back to a two-point per game average for the season, which is impressive.

“And, for that, we are highly motivated to win points in a difficult away game and we have to be at our best."

The manager then gave an update on team news, following our Emirates FA Cup draw against Plymouth Argyle, last time out.

“Some good news,” Farke stated.

“Crysencio Summerville had a few problems for the cup game and was not involved, but he is back in training and also available for this game.

“Also good news with Archie Gray, after his injury in the last league game. He was also not involved in the cup game and is back in training and also back available.

"Some good progress with Pascal Struijk and Daniel James, but for this game and this week they are not available."
