Daniel Farke: We have a chance to win points wherever we go

Leeds United are looking to extend their seven match unbeaten run with a visit to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

The trip to Tyneside will mark the Whites’ second away fixture of 2026 so far, three days after being held to a draw by Manchester United at Elland Road.

Ahead of the clash, Daniel Farke spoke to the media. Commenting on our opposition, he said: “For me, also one of the top teams in this league. Eddie Howe is doing overall a fantastic, fantastic job.

"For me, it's one of the big names in this league and also one of the top sides and they have all the chances also to finish in a very similar position to where they finished last season."

The boss added: "Newcastle in a home game, they always seem to play even more competitive and with highest intensity so it will definitely be a difficult task.

"But we've shown also that in difficult surroundings we are capable to deliver performance, and if we deliver a performance, then we have a chance also to win points wherever we go.

"It gives lots of confidence," Farke adds on the positive run of form. "Everyone is in a good mood and we know that we have done really, really well against also top sides and big names in recent weeks.

"It gives also the confidence to be capable to go to another difficult place and to show performance and also deliver results even there."
