Daniel Farke provides fitness update ahead of Everton clash

Boss issues squad availability update.

Farke pre Everton 1

Ahead of Leeds United’s trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday evening to face Everton, boss Daniel Farke has provided an update on the availability of his squad.

The Whites go into the encounter on the banks of the River Mersey on the back of a memorable last-gasp victory over Fulham last time out.

Following victory over the London outfit, the manager expects to have a largely unchanged squad for the Toffees, though Anton Stach could make a return whilst Gabriel Gudmundsson is a possible doubt.

"Gabi is struggling after the last game with a bit of adductor problems," Farke said. "For the game on Monday night there is a little question mark behind his availability.

"Apart from that, everyone came through the Fulham game without any problems and that is more or less good news.

"Also good news from our rehab department. Anton was today part integrated in team training, so no reaction so far. It looks like he could be available.

"Good news from Daniel James also yesterday and today, first time he was partly integrated in team training. He is also pretty pretty close to joining us back in full team training.

"Of course, he was out for more than two months anyhow, so it will last a bit until he is then also really fit and ready for the games."
