Daniel Farke: Still many more points we need to win

Following a positive festive period, Leeds United will aim to continue momentum with a visit to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland.

On Sunday the Whites will make the trip to Wearside to face the Black Cats, who were also promoted from the Sky Bet Championship last campaign, after a dominant 4-1 win over Crystal Palace at Elland Road the previous gameweek.

Ahead of the clash, Daniel Farke said: "There is no replacement for this winning feeling after the game, and the good feeling after a good run of form and good run of results.

"Not just within the group of players, but also the group of staff and in the whole club of course, good times for everyone who is involved here for Leeds United.

"But, we are also far away from losing the ground under our feet or not to stay humble or whatever," the Boss added. "We know it's still a long road and still many more points that we need to win and for that, heads are only down.

"We are back down to Earth and working hard in order to be also competitive in the next difficult upcoming games."

On Sunday's opposition: "Not surprised, but it's definitely remarkable what they've done. We spoke about how difficult is for promoted sides to get over the line and to give yourself a chance to stay in this league, and for that, their point tally is already on a really, really good height.

"I was quite expecting they would do well because they have Regis Le Bris, a manager who is always calm and just doing a remarkable job."
