Leeds United beat Millwall at home on Sunday afternoon, thanks to goals from Willy Gnonto and Dan James.

The victory saw the Whites extend their unbeaten league run in 2024 to 13 matches, with 12 of them wins, moving Daniel Farke’s side to the top of the table.

Speaking after the game, the boss gave his thoughts on the performance of his side to the media.

He said: “I’m pretty, pretty proud of the boys today because it was a different challenge.

“Such a game against a competitive side, it’s difficult to open them, difficult to create chances against Millwall, but it was two fantastic team goals.

“Firstly, I want to enjoy it a little bit, because if you don't enjoy it, then you will ask yourself one day why you're doing all this hard work and disciplined work.

“So when there's a good time like right now, you also have to enjoy and value this a little bit, but then also to make sure that we stay on it because it's a tight race.

“It’s not important where you are after 38 game days, the point tally is important and with this point tally we can be pretty, pretty proud.

“But, we want to be there also in a good position after 46 game days and for that we have to win many points.

“Overall, it was a pretty mature performance and I am delighted for the boys and really, really happy with this, a priceless three points.”
