Daniel Farke: A really well taken win

Boss gives post-match thoughts.

Daniel Farke vs DCFC (FA Cup)

Coming back from 1-0 down, Leeds United secured a spot in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup with a 3-1 victory away at Derby County.

Daniel Farke’s side, which saw eight changes from last time out, converted thrice in the second half to win away at Pride Park in front of over 5,000 travelling Whites’ supporters.

After the game, the boss said: “Back to winning ways, it's always good to have this feeling in the dressing room and a big compliment to my players.

"It was nearly a 50-50 game today. Of course, you're a bit the favourite as a Premier League side, but away game at a really decent Championship side.

"Recently, they've beaten here the top side with clean sheets wins. They had no midweek game. We had a horrendous run of fixtures and had to put so much effort in.

"We had to rotate today, of course, a bit more than we normally would like to do, and they were on it. And then to show such a performance, I would say from minute 20 on, we needed 20 minutes to come into this game to get used and to accept also a bit their intensity and aggressiveness. But once we've done this, I think we showed an excellent performance.

"Missed, sadly in the first half, too many chances and they scored out of their one situation, but never lost their head, never lost the nerves and stayed cool and excellent performance, great goals in the second half and really, really well taken win."
