Speaking to the media after guiding his side to another big three points at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts to the media.
The boss saw his side put in a big display to beat Manchester United away from home earlier in the week, before comfortably dispatching Wolves at Elland Road with a 3-0 success.
“During the game, it still felt like you always have to be switched on in each of your moments,” the German began as he summarised the match.
“If you calm down then you have to say it was probably a relatively comfortable 3-0 win, also fully deserved because we also dominated each statistic.
“I was a bit nervous before this game because for me, a game after such a historical night at Old Trafford is always difficult.
“And especially once you have a home game with big expectation against a rock bottom side in the league because then everyone expects, okay, it will be a bit, bit easier but Wolves is a good side.
“They have shown us with more than decent performances and more than decent results also in the last couple of months. There were one or two nervy moments during the second half.
“But we put the right tackle in also one top-class save from Karl Darlow in the right moment, in order to make this game not a too nervy game. Then to bury the game with a third goal feels quite good!
“A massive, a massive step forward and a very crucial win. This team has a very strong mentality and delivers, especially under pressure, to be there with some of our best performances during the season.”
