Dan James signs a new contract at Leeds United

Winger agrees new deal to remain at Elland Road.

Dan James Contract

Leeds United are delighted to announce Dan James has signed a new long-term deal to remain at Elland Road for another four years.

The 27-year-old has been a mainstay in Daniel Farke’s side over the last two seasons and was a key figure in helping the Whites to secure promotion as champions, back to the Premier League.

James was voted by supporters as the club’s Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign after an impressive year, ending with 12 goals and nine assists from 36 matches played.

His scintillating pace and work-rate were key factors in helping the team in both attack and defence, showing desire to not only be creative in forward areas, but demonstrating the side before self mantra when required at the back as well.

Since joining the club in 2021, the attacker has made 123 appearances for the Whites, registering 51 direct goal involvements as well as making countless other important contributions both on and off the pitch.

James has championed the Leeds United Foundation’s important work in the city during his time in West Yorkshire, most recently attending a Healthy Holidays camp for local school children in one of his many community visits.

The winger has earned 57 caps for the Wales national team, scoring his eighth and latest goal in a 3-1 victory for the Dragons over Kazakhstan in March.

Everyone at Leeds United would like to congratulate Dan on signing a new deal and we look forward to seeing him in action for the club in the Premier League.
