Dan James has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award, after an impressive January for Leeds United.

The winger played a key role in the Whites securing 12 points from four matches during the opening month of 2024, scoring in three of them.

James set up the opening goal for Patrick Bamford, before he then netted himself in the 3-0 home win over Birmingham City on New Year’s Day. The Welsh international then followed that up with another goal in the 3-0 win away at Cardiff City.

An important equaliser followed against Preston North End at Elland Road, before he then turned provider once more, setting up Bamford’s winner over Norwich City.

An excellent January overall saw Dan end it with three goals and two assists for Daniel Farke’s side. The winner of the award will be announced on Friday morning, with the other nominees below.
