Leeds United Football Club will pay its respects to fallen heroes from the armed forces at Monday night's Premier League fixture against Leicester City with a special tribute and moment of silence prior to kick off.

The Whites' dedicated Remembrance fixture will see the two club captains laying wreathes on the touchline as they lead their teams out to the pitch ahead of the 8pm kick off.

There will then be a moment of silence observed by those at Elland Road whilst a performance of The Last Post is played on the big screen as a mark of respect to all of the service men and women that have served our country.

Due to the current guidelines in place because of COVID-19, the club invited a small group of guests to the stadium ahead of the fixture, including servicemen and women from The Royal British Legion, The Yorkshire Regiment, and the Parachute Regiment. During their visit they laid wreathes at the side of the pitch, as they would usually do on the club’s dedicated matchday.

If you would like to buy a poppy and donate to The Royal British Legion, please visit rbl.org.uk/poppyappeal. All of the players involved in the match will also wear shirts emblazoned with a poppy, some of these shirts will be made available for auction with all proceeds going to local and national military charities.

We appreciate all of those who were involved in the activity ahead of the fixture on Monday evening to help mark Remembrance Day, along with all of the servicemen and women who have fought for our country.
