Representatives from Leeds United were on hand at the Leeds Compassionate City Awards on Thursday evening to help recognise and celebrate the work of the city's many unsung heroes.

Leeds United youngsters Leif Davis and Jamie Shackleton joined CEO of the Leeds United Foundation, Alan Scorfield, at the event to meet with those in attendance and help present the award for the Best Sports Project, which was also sponsored by the club's official charity.

Huge congratulations go to the official LGBT+ supporters group for Leeds United, Marching Out Together, after they won the award for the Diversity Project of the Year - a commendation for all of the work they have put into promoting inclusivity and celebrating diversity along with the club.

Hosted by Leeds City Council, the vision is for Leeds to be the best city in the UK; one that is compassionate and caring with a strong economy, which tackles poverty and reduces inequalities - and this event celebrates all of those things.

Congratulations to all of the winners on the night for their hard work and dedication in making Leeds such a special city.
