Wednesday 5th April 2023 marks 23 years since two loyal Leeds United supporters, Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight, travelled to Turkey to watch their beloved team in action but tragically never returned home.

Chris and Kevin were brutally murdered in Istanbul on the eve of our UEFA Cup semi-final fixture with Galatasaray in 2000.

They will never be forgotten and will always have a special place in the hearts of Leeds United fans worldwide.

Leeds United players and staff will observe a minute of silence at Elland Road on Wednesday, whilst laying flowers in the memory of Chris and Kevin.

At Sunday’s Premier League game with Crystal Palace, there will be a minute’s applause ahead of kick-off, as well as various other dedications.
