The match officials for Leeds United’s FA Cup clash with Chelsea have been confirmed, with David Coote set to take charge.
Coote has officiated 16 matches so far this term, 11 of which have come in the Premier League. In those matches, the FIFA listed official has dished out 77 bookings and three red cards.
He has overseen three Sky Bet Championship fixtures in the 2023/24 season, with the latest coming at Portman Road as Ipswich Town were held to a 2-2 draw by West Bromwich Albion.
In his career, the Nottinghamshire official has taken charge of two finals: the 2022/23 Carabao Cup final and the 2013/14 League One Play-Offs final which saw Rotherham scrape past Leyton Orient on penalties to reach the Championship.
In Coote's 20 games involving Leeds, the Whites have won eight, drawn three and lost nine, most recently taking charge of last season's 2-2 draw with West Ham United in the Premier League.
Coote has officiated 13 Chelsea games to date, with the Blues winning seven, drawing two, losing four and picking up two red cards.
As the tie is being played at a Premier League venue, VAR will also be in use with Graham Scott and Peter Bankes observing from Stockley Park.
