The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Bristol City on Saturday have been announced, with James Linington set to take charge at Ashton Gate.

Experienced official Linington made his debut in the EFL back in 2008 and has since gone on to take charge of 293 Sky Bet Championship fixtures to date.

The well-travelled referee has overseen six fixtures across all competitions so far this term, most recently being in the middle at Loftus Road as Portsmouth picked up an important win away at Queens Park Rangers.

The Whites have a mixed record in matches overseen by the official, winning four times and drawing twice in 10 fixtures, though he has not refereed United since a 2019 defeat away at Millwall.

Bristol City, meanwhile, have struggled for form when Linington has been in the middle, winning just eight of 28 outings and losing on 15 occasions.

2024/25 stats:

Games (all competitions): 6

Yellow cards issued: 28

Red cards issued: 0

Other match officials selected:

Assistant referees: Andrew Fox & Daniel Leach

Fourth official: Dean Whitestone
