American international speaks ahead of Everton clash.

It has been an impressive run of form for Leeds United’s American international Brenden Aaronson, who has three goals in his last three games as the Whites look to extend their positive momentum towards February.

With a big late win against Fulham in the last match, Daniel Farke’s team now prepare to make the trip to Merseyside to face a stern Everton side.

Ahead of the clash, Aaronson spoke to the media, praising the mindset of his teammates: “Confidence is the biggest thing in football,” the attacker admitted.

“Right now, things are going well. The team is playing well and that is all you can ask for. We have a lot of guys that have come in this season and I think everybody that has come in has been amazing.

“It is a top group with a ton of quality, a ton of great individual people. I think the mentality of this group is when we are down is, you know, it is the next guy up and we really want to go win the game.

“Like last game, Lukas [Nmecha] comes off the bench and scores the game-winning goal in this huge victory. So, I think we need to keep that mentality.

“[We] know that we are a great group but not get too ahead of ourselves. We need to keep working the way we have been and go from there.

“I am out there and I want to train hard, I want to learn new things that I need to get better at. So I think that is the big mental thing because you have made the highs even higher in that respect.”
