Leeds United defender Ben White spoke to LUTV ahead of returning to action on Sunday in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Whites make the long trip to Wales to take on Cardiff City as the league gets back underway for the first time since March.

White spoke about what he anticipated in the final nine games of the campaign, as Leeds look to earn promotion back to the Premier League.

“It’s going to be tough, but I think all of the work we’ve put in over the season is going to build us to do well,” said White.

“We all believe and we know what we can do as we’ve shown this season, which is why we’re at the top of the league now.

“We need to tick off each game as it comes and get three points in every game.

“We don’t want to look at the nine games, we want to take each game as it comes and do our best.”

The Leeds defender on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion also revealed what he is expecting from the Bluebirds, who are fighting to get into the Championship Play-Offs.

He said: “I don’t think Cardiff will have changed too much from what they normally do.

“Obviously they have a big team and they’re going to use that to their advantage, but we’ve done all that we can to get the result.

“This is the last bit and the last push, we’ve given everything to get into the position we are and we don’t want to let it go now.”
