Arsenal: Match officials appointed

Appointments made for Saturday’s fixture.

Jarred Gillett

The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League clash with Arsenal on Saturday evening have been announced, with Jarred Gillett set to take charge at the Emirates.

The Select Group 1 official began his refereeing career in his homeland Australia. He would then feature in the EFL from 2019 before overseeing a first Premier League match in 2021 which saw the points shared between Watford and Newcastle United.

The Whites are unbeaten in five matches involving Gillett, winning three times and drawing twice, beginning with a home victory over Reading in 2020.

Most recently, the 38-year-old officiated United’s 4-0 victory over Norwich City at Elland Road in the 2023/24 Play-Off campaign.

The Gunners, meanwhile, have won six times and lost on three occasions in their nine matches overseen by Gillett. Towards the end of last campaign, the referee was in the middle at the Emirates as Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat to AFC Bournemouth.

The Australian has featured once so far this term, taking charge of Manchester City’s emphatic 4-0 success over Wolves last weekend at Molineux.

Also keeping a close eye on events at the Emirates from Stockley Park will be Video Assistant Referee Craig Pawson.
