Thursday saw Archie Gray receive the news that he not only won the club's Player of the Month award, but also named the PFA's best player in the Championship during February.

Both awards were given as a result of fans voting for the 17 year old, who impressed as Leeds won all five league games during February, whilst also keeping World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez quiet during our FA Cup clash with Premier League side Chelsea.

Keeping his feet firmly on the ground, Gray is appreciative of the fans' support during his breakthrough season, saying of winning the club's Player of the Month award, "It's amazing. You know, I'm lucky to be playing for the club that I love and hopefully I can keep playing well, keep trying and keep getting the results."

"We're putting everything into it, firstly out on the training pitch, and then trying to bring it out in the game. So yeah, it's been really good."

Fast-tracked through the Academy and into the senior team, Gray made his debut in the opening game of the season against Cardiff, and hasn't looked back, making 39 appearances so far. So what's it like playing for his hometown club?

"It means everything. To be playing for the club that I've been at my whole life, the club that I've supported and travelled to games with, I know what it's like to be a fan and it's just amazing to play for Leeds. I'm lucky to be part of this club."

Holding his own against Chelsea's expensive midfield, providing the assist for Willy Gnonto's second goal against Swansea, or watching one of his shots hit the back of the net at Elland Road, there's one moment in February that stands out most...

"The Leicester game, definitely! I've not seen anything like it for ages and it was by far the best game I've ever been involved in. It was just a pleasure to be involved in it."

As he enters into the final ten games of his first season playing senior football, Gray's mind is focused on one aim. "I think the main goal is obvious for everyone. We just need to keep doing our work, keep getting the results and hopefully, the rest will come. We've just got to work for that, get promoted and win the league. That's all."
