Anton Stach: You have to learn everybody’s ways

Midfielder’s thoughts on Paderborn victory.

Anton Stach vs Paderborn

Leeds United continued their pre-season schedule with a victory over SC Paderborn on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Joël Piroe, Willy Gnonto and Lukas Nmecha fired the Whites to a 3-2 victory, following on from the Whites’ win over SC Verl last time out.

The encounter provided midfielder Anton Stach with a first opportunity to don the white shirt and afterwards, he was delighted to have got some minutes in the legs.

“I think in the first half, Paderborn did really well,” the German told LUTV following the full-time whistle at the Home Deluxe Arena.

“I think they had good possession. They changed the positions every time and we had some struggles with it. But it was fine. We took the lead then and a clean sheet in the first half, in a difficult half.

“It is way better to play with them on the pitch. Of course, it is important off the pitch to get to know everybody.

“But on the pitch, you have to learn the ways how everybody is working, how everybody is playing. And I think best is learning by doing when you have a match.

“Today there were no fans and I am so excited to see Elland Road. And with our fans, I think it will be really nice.”
