Leeds United midfielder Anton Stach has been named in Jürgen Klopp’s first Germany squad since the former Liverpool boss took charge of the national team.
Klopp announced his first selection as Germany head coach at the DFB Campus in Frankfurt, with 44 players chosen across two squads for four upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.
Stach, 27, has been included in the initial 24-man squad for Germany’s opening two matches, with the midfielder set to face the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Thursday 24 September (7:45pm), before Greece visit Augsburg on Sunday 27 September (7:45pm).
The second group of 20 players will join up with the squad for Germany’s following fixtures against Serbia in Munich on Thursday 1 October (7:45pm) and Greece in Thessaloniki on Sunday 4 October (7:45pm).
Stach has three senior international caps to his name, most recently featuring in Germany’s 4-3 victory over Switzerland in March.
The Leeds midfielder has made a strong start to the 2026/27 campaign, featuring in all six of our matches across all competitions and scoring the winner against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League opener.
