Anton Stach: It was a good hit

Midfielder reflects on Wolves wonder strike!

Anton Stach Goal vs Wolves

Leeds United saw three players score their first goal for the club in the win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.

The Whites went behind early on but responded superbly to win 3-1 at Molineux. Scoring our second of the game, Anton Stach curled home a stunning free-kick to open his account for his side.

Speaking after the match, the midfielder gave his thoughts on his goal and the game as a whole.

“It was a good position at first and then I told Gabi I want to shoot it!” Stach explained. “In training it was not the best all the time but today I think it was a good hit.

“Everybody in the team was telling me all the time be confident, just shoot, because you have such a hard shot! It went in, so it’s all really good.”

On the game, the German international added: “It's all like momentum now. We know we need every point and that's why we're happy for today.

“But of course, we know after two days, we need to keep going to focus on the next games to get some points.

“I think during the week we worked a lot on channel runs, that we help each other, that we create space and be flexible. I think this is really hard to defend for the opponent and we had some good situations.

“After this win, I think everybody wants to come back and work and get the next win to have this feeling again.”
