AFC Bournemouth: Match Officials Appointed

Appointments made for Wednesday’s fixture.

Generic Referee Premier League

The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League tie with AFC Bournemouth have been announced, with Michael Salisbury set to take charge at the Vitality Stadium.

The fixture will be the second time the Lancashire-based referee has overseen the Whites this season, after an enthralling encounter at St. James’ Park saw Leeds cruelly beaten by Newcastle United in injury time.

From their other four outings to feature the Select Group Official, United have won twice including the 7-0 demolition of Cardiff City last term enroute to the second tier title.

Salisbury has also officiated the Cherries on just one occasion this season, taking charge of a dramatic 3-2 win over Liverpool where Amine Adli’s goal deep into added time snatched the three points on the south coast.

So far in all competitions this term, the referee has overseen 17 matches, showing 16 yellow cards and two red cards across the Premier League, Sky Bet Championship and EFL Cup.

Supporting him on the night will be Marc Perry and Nick Greenhalgh, with Sam Allison on the touchline as the fourth official. Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is Video Assistant Referee Peter Bankes and Additional VAR Wade Smith.
