Adam Forshaw gave his reaction to the media after his side were defeated by Arsenal at Elland Road.

The Whites managed to get a goal back during the second half but ultimately it wasn't enough as the visitors returned home with all three points.

“It was tough again, unfortunately.” Forshaw explained.

“First half we were stretched and we had to rally at half-time, and come out second half to show a fighting performance.

“There was half a chance at 3-1, we were on the front foot and playing positive stuff. Unfortunately the fourth goal was a sucker punch.

“We have to stick together, every game is tough in this league but we just have to look to the next one to get points and go from there.

“The positive is that we dug in the second half and gave it a go.”

The midfielder played the full 90 minutes and was quick to praise the atmosphere inside the ground, with the team being supported until long after the final whistle despite the defeat.

He said: “They were incredible again.

“It’s the least we can do, we can show a lot of attitude and desire, be as aggressive as we can and play the Leeds United way.

“It’s unbelievable to know they’ve got your back through the tough time that we have at the moment. The way the squad is, it’s so stretched.

"I think the second half is something we can take forward. It was really tough, we had nine fit first team players and you can see the bench was really young.

“But, we’re sticking together, which is the only way we know.”
