Leeds United duo Brenden Aaronson and Weston McKennie have been named in the USMNT squad, as they look to progress to the Concacaf Nations League Final Four.
As defending champions, the USMNT have two matches remaining to close out Group D, where they currently sit in second place with four points, one point behind El Salvador.
The USMNT kick off their international window away to Grenada on the 24th March at Kirani James Athletic Stadium in Saint George’s, before taking on El Salvador three days later at Exploria Stadium.
Aaronson has made 29 appearances in his debut season for Leeds United, scoring the opener in the 3-0 win over Chelsea. The attacking midfielder most recently featured in the 2-2 draw with Brighton and will be aiming to add to his 28 caps for the USMNT.
McKennie, a January loan signing from Juventus, made his debut against Nottingham Forest last month, before going on to make eight appearances across the Premier League and FA Cup.
The midfielder has the third most caps (41) out of the current squad, and is the only player to appear in all eight of the USMNT’s previous Concacaf Nations League matches.
