A reminder to all supporters regarding ticket touting

Supporters urged to only buy through official channels.

Leeds United Fans Scarves

Ahead of tickets going on sale for our return back to the Premier League, Leeds United would like to remind supporters that it is illegal to sell, offer to sell or transfer tickets to matches without the authorisation of the club or outside of one of our authorised processes (e.g. Ticket Exchange or Ticket Forwarding).

The only official place to purchase tickets is via the Leeds United online ticketing site tickets.leedsunited.com.

The club DOES NOT use any ticket agencies or resale sites to sell general admission tickets and any tickets purchased this way will be cancelled without a refund. The club strongly discourages fans from using such third-party sites, where supporters are being asked to pay hugely inflated ticket prices.

At all times it should also be noted that the touting of tickets is a criminal offence under Section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 and the Ticket Touting Order 2007 (Designation of Football Matches) and that a prosecution can end with a fine, general banning order and a criminal record for those found guilty.

Once the initial allocation of general admission home match tickets have sold out, My Leeds Members are encouraged to use the Official Leeds United Ticket Exchange, where on average over 1,900 match tickets for each game are offered for resale at face value. Season Ticket Holders can return their seats on the Ticket Exchange right up until 90 minutes prior to kick-off, giving My Leeds Members the opportunity to purchase match tickets on the day of the game.

The club will continue to take the strongest possible action against anyone found to be selling or passing on tickets to unofficial channels. In previous seasons, a number of Season Tickets and Memberships were cancelled without refunds and lengthy bans issued.

The Premier League has also released a safe ticket buying guide and a list of unauthorised ticket websites, which can be found below:
